A THOUSAND WORDS MEDIA is a woman-owned small business registered in the State of Maryland. Its purpose is to provide useful, well-designed media and production services for Internet websites working closely to meet (and exceed) client requirements.

A THOUSAND WORDS MEDIA is owned and operated by Sandra R. Kenney with contracted assistance from a number of other experienced designers and programmers. Ms. Kenney has over thirty-five years’ professional experience in video and media production, including over sixteen years' experience specifically in website design and management. Prior to developing her own company, Ms. Kenney was Website Development Manager for VCAnet, Inc. in Maryland, and was responsible for the development and management of over 30 client websites. As that company re-focussed its own direction in mid-1998, A THOUSAND WORDS MEDIA expanded its client list and contracted its own servers for client websites with netImpact.net and others.

Previously, Ms. Kenney was Manager of Corporate Television for Bell Atlantic, a $5 million in-house business, where she developed an extensive multi-media lab. Ms. Kenney has been honored with international and national video production awards, including an Addy and a Cine Golden Eagle, as well as numerous website awards. She has published articles and has been guest speaker for many professional gatherings, was appointed by President Gerald Ford to the United States Metric Board, where she was elected Chairman for Education and Public Awareness, and, while with Maryland Public Television, developed a national workshop for On-Air Promotion. Many of her present websites have posted numerous awards.

A THOUSAND WORDS MEDIA is available for client service weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST, and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to noon, although it's not unusual for us to work on the weekends or in the evenings to meet deadlines!
